New replacement part, precision CNC milled from locally sourced timber. This is a QLD Maple timber forewood as originally specified for 1920's Lithgow SMLE's. The part is supplied in the raw for you to finish as desired. As with original stock sets, final fitting to your individual rifle is required for best results.     Referenced in Ian Skennerton's book 'The Lee-Enfield', Qld Maple was  used for stocking Lithgow (AUS) manufactured rifles for a short time in the late 1930's. QLD Maple is a timber species found on the North East coast of Australia varying from light to medium darkness, with a yellow hue.
